We rent hardware and carry traffic.
That is the entire pitch.

IsBareMetal is the unmanaged side of HostiServer, which has been running servers since 2011. Same people, same facilities, different deal: here you get the machine and the port, and nobody stands between you and either of them.

switch · uplinks[ours]your machine[ours] hardware[yours] os and uprack · powercooling [ours]
// front view, to scale · 19″ rack, 1U = 44.45 mm

Two products that need opposite promises.

Managed hosting sells responsibility: someone patches your OS, tunes your database and answers at 2am when your application misbehaves. That work is real, it costs real money, and its price is built into every invoice.

Unmanaged sells capacity. You know what you are doing, you do not want to pay for hand-holding you will never use, and you want the port at line rate with no meter running. One name for both misrepresents one of them, so we split them.

Built for people who read traceroutes.

It suits teams that run their own stack and want the machine and the port without a layer in between: CDN and streaming operators, game studios, storage and virtualisation hosts, database and compute workloads. You choose the operating system, you keep it patched, and you read the graph when something looks off.

It does not suit everyone, so here is who it leaves out. If you want someone to manage the operating system, that is paid work at HostiServer. If you need guaranteed DDoS mitigation, a signed uptime percentage or backups of your machine, we do not sell those.

Anything that is a different shape is a build to order, quoted on the build page.

Four rules we do not bend.

  1. 01 ─ traffic

    Unmetered means unmetered.

No allowance, no per-gigabyte overage, no 95th percentile, no fair-use clause. Ports of 1, 10, 25, 40, 100 Gbps, at line rate, all month. It is written into section 3 of the terms, not only onto the pricing page.

  2. 02 ─ use

Lawful use, and we mean it.

We do not police what you build, and a saturated port will never be treated as suspicious. What we do not host is crime: attacks, fraud, malware, spam, illegal content. Abuse reports get read and forwarded, and we expect you to answer them.

  3. 03 ─ numbers

No numbers we cannot stand behind.

You will not find an uptime percentage on this site, because a percentage without a measurement method and a credit schedule is decoration. You will not find invented capacity figures or testimonials either. What is here can be checked against the invoice and the machine.

  4. 04 ─ price

    The price is the price.

Flat monthly billing, no metered extras bolted on afterwards, and 30 days’ notice before any price change. Your existing term is never repriced in the middle.

Machines in Amsterdam, Meppel, US East and US West.

Any port in each; the builds in stock and the prices differ by location. Who answers what is on support; the sites are on network.
