Storage and backup servers.
Restores cost nothing.
Large arrays fed over a port with no counter. Metered hosting makes writing a backup cheap and reading it back expensive, which is exactly the wrong way round.
what you get
- traffic
- unmetered ingress and egress
- disks
- large arrays, sized with the build
- raid
- software by default, hardware on request
- port
- 1, 10, 100 Gbps
- addressing
- 2 × IPv4 + native IPv6
- access
- root and IPMI
- operating system
- any Linux distribution, mount your own ISO over IPMI, Proxmox or VMware ESXi
- locations
- AMS · NL · MEP · NL · IAD · US-EAST · PHX · US-WEST
A custom build in almost every case — capacity is the whole point, and the stock list is sized for compute.
where we draw the line
- No backup software, no schedules, no retention policy, no managed restore. It is a target; what writes to it is yours.
- We do not back up your machine either — unmanaged means that copy is yours to make.
- The exact disk layout is agreed on the build rather than advertised here.
